Douglas Medical Products is a Chicago, USA based Medical Device company registered with the FDA. Our Company objective is to offer our customers high quality, cost effective production as your contract manufacturer. We service the medical device, pharmaceutical and veterinary markets. Our key products are IV Administration, ENFit Enteral and Surgical kits products. The company has a broad range of 510(k)’s and continues to submit additional 510(k)’s for new products.
Our capability with our partners includes tooling, injection molding, high precision extrusion, insert molding, a wide range of assembly operations including sonic welding, form fill seal packaging, testing and Ethylene Oxide sterilization.
We strive to support our customers with the next generation of products and innovative technologies. Through our network we have access to innovators that introduce new products to us. These products can be made available to our customers.

Douglas Johnson
Founder/CEO
Douglas Johnson is the founder of Douglas Medical Products, Inc. Prior to joining Douglas Medical Products, Inc., Mr. Johnson served in a variety of management and leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer, VP Sales, and VP of Medical Device Operations. He started his career at Baxter (12 years) in progressive corporate financial and marketing functions. In his final marketing position at Baxter, he oversaw the entire Base IV Administration Set Business ($140MM), Vein Access line, Chemotherapy Infuser line, the Custom IV Administration Set Business and was responsible with the launching of new products/concepts within the IV Systems Division. Since leaving Baxter 24 years ago, he has been involved in 7 early commercialization stage and start-‐up medical device & pharmaceutical companies, where 4 were acquired.
Mr. Johnson received both his undergraduate (finance) and MBA (marketing/finance) degrees from the University of Illinois Champaign, Urbana Campus.
Torsten Nilson
President
Torsten Nilson is an accomplished Senior Executive with more than 25 years of demonstrated success spanning the medical devices and manufacturing industries. Leveraging extensive experience as an innovative strategist with an impeccable record of building and turning around operations to quickly deliver impressive top- and bottom-line results, Torsten is a valuable asset for a company in need of skilled guidance to launch its next product or is in distress and in need of a turnaround. His broad areas of expertise include global manufacturing, global strategy, revenue generation, turnaround, product development, lean manufacturing, go-to-market strategy, and process improvement.
Previously, he held the title of CEO with PrimeGuard Medical, Vice President with Tekni-Plex International, President, Contract Manufacturing BU with Amsino Medical Group, Director Device Operations Strategy/General Manager Hospira, Inc. and Vice President Sanmina Inc.
Torsten holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Lund’s Institute of Technology in Sweden and a BS in Physical Sciences from Lund’s College. As a seasoned Board Member, he has served on a number of Boards including Amsino and acting as President for the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce.

The company has an extensive range of 510(k)’s which include IV Administration Sets, Extensions Sets, Huber Needles, Subcutaneous Needles, Filters, Blood Sets, Solution Bags, Burette Sets, Irrigation Sets and Pharmacy Products.
Additional 510(k)’s are on file with the FDA to support our customers with new products and components.
The Company has developed unique and proprietary IP and technology. One of these technologies is high precision tubing for peristaltic pumps named TUBETECH®.
